Waikato Wedding Photographer- Gemma + Ben

Gemma and Ben had the perfect, crispy Autumn day for their Waikato Wedding. I felt like part of the family with these two. This was the second of three Cleary sibling’s (Ben’s family) weddings I photographed , you may remember bride Johanna who is Ben’s sister and in December 2018 I photographed Ben’s other sister Emily’s wedding (more of that one on the blog soon!). It’s been so special to capture so many of the love stories in this beautiful family. I also have a connection that goes way back with bride Gemma, as we used to go to the same Easter Camp throughout high school. Typical small New Zealand am I right? I love when old connections and mutual friends lead to me being able to capture some of the most special days in people’s lives, such a privilege!

These two have a genuine, joyful love and are surrounded by the best kind of people. I had such a fun day with them all, not to mention the glorious golden Autumn light and finding some epic Hamilton backdrops for them. Growing up in the Waikato, it will always have a special spot in my heart and there are some gorgeous locations, venues and vendors in the region so it’s definitely a wedding destination to consider!

G + B, thanks for having me capture your day and happy one year anni just gone! I loved looking back and reminiscing on all the beauty and fun xx
