Jonkers Farm Wedding Photographer – Sarah + Pete

I don’t like to play favourites but… this wedding had to be one of the best of the recent Summer season. Jonkers Farm is definitely one of my favourite venues in Auckland, with a woodlands ceremony spot, sprawling farmland and hills, lots of hidden photo spots and a view out over the west coast, what more could you want? Sarah and Pete met and were friends in New Zealand before they both ended up moving to London and reconnecting over there. Their love story is genuine and beautiful and you can see they are wholeheartedly loved and celebrated by everyone around them.

The owners of Jonkers Farm are absolutely lovely and it’s always a fun experience riding around in the Jonkers truck and discovering all the hidden places on the farm. Growing up in the country, this place makes my inner-farm-girl heart sing!

With an incredible line-up of talented vendors, every pretty, little detail was taken care of! I mean, they had a cake made of cheese and a glam little caravan with pretty cocktails!

These two happened to have about 4 of the guest’s (including the best man) birthdays fall on the same day as their wedding. Sarah and Pete organized a special cake and birthday tribute (party hats included) for these birthday guests. A pretty cool way to spend your birthday I think!

Now, you may remember back in January, New Zealand suffered some pretty intense storms! This was the night of a big one in Auckland. We were so blessed that the rain held off all day but mid-way through the reception the rain and wind really picked up. I find storms pretty exciting at the best of times, but to be in a tent in the middle of a paddock, filled with awesome people, a great band, some wild dance moves and the weather going crazy outside… the whole situation was just hilarious, everyone embraced it and the party carried on inside the tent. There’s no where else I would have rather spent that stormy night!

Sarah and Pete have a relationship full of joy, adventure and playfulness. These two were a dream in front of the camera and it was a blessing getting to know them and capture their story. I can’t wait for my next Jonkers Farm wedding so please get in touch if you’re keen for an adventure!
