After an awesome time in Washington D.C. I farewelled my sister Esther as she headed back to London and I jumped on a plane to Salt Lake City Utah, where my eldest sister Kate and her husband are currently living. SLC is a beautiful city, desert hot, overflowing with wildflowers and surrounded by mountains. It’s quite high altitude and a very dry heat so a nice adjustment from the humidity I’d come from but intense all the same. Being back in NZ Winter now I am craving Summer (as usual) as I went through these photos with a hot tea and blanket wrapped around me. Take me back! It was awesome to spend some time with my sister and explore her city. We went up the canyons one day and the landscape is just incredible. I’m super jealous she’s been helping shoot some weddings over there, it is the most amazing setting!
After Salt Lake I flew to L.A. and met up with my friend Rosie. I was at the end of my trip and she had just arrived in the States stopping over on her way to New York. We were so stoked we managed to intersect our trips and hang out for a few days in Cali! The ocean will always have my heart so California and I got on just great! We shopped, ate, sunbathed and swam and it was a dream. I’ve loved documenting my USA travels on this blog and hopefully you’ve liked it too. I definitely have the travel bug and can’t wait for the next adventure!

Salt Lake City + pregnant Kate (I can’t wait to become an Aunty in October!) Exploring trails and lakes up the canyons- Super cute town in the mountains- Park City!
Los Angeles! We loved the Santa Monica Pier + hiring bikes one day and exploring along the boardwalk.
Brunch at the Beverley Hills Hotel- Drinks at a rooftop bar- Hiking in the Hollywood Hills- Then the time came for my amazing trip to come to an end. The horrible long flight home was made a little better by a sunrise stopover in Fiji, you know how I love that golden light…
