Boathouse Row Wedding Styled Shoot – Part 3

Textural Wedding Inspiration at Boathouse Row, Auckland

The third and final look from our Boathouse Row styled shoot leaned into texture, depth and contrast. After exploring an earthy palette and a brighter garden setup earlier in the day, this look felt more refined and layered, with a focus on rich tones and considered detail.

Once again, the planning and style direction was led by Lisa and her team at With Love Weddings and Events. This look really showcased their ability to balance drama with restraint, creating something elevated without feeling heavy or overworked.

Layered Textures and Deeper Tones

This setup centred around soft draping and a more tonal palette. Chocolate brown draping from Tble Linen created a strong backdrop, adding warmth and structure to the space. Against it, crisp whites, deep reds and sculptural florals stood out beautifully.

The tablescape focused on contrast. Smooth linens, clean stationery and refined tableware were paired with richly coloured florals and fruit, giving the overall look depth and interest without overwhelming it. Every element felt intentional and well-balanced.

A Refined Take on Editorial Styling

Even with the same location, this setup felt completely different to the earlier looks. It’s a good reminder of how versatile Boathouse Row can be, and how much impact thoughtful styling choices can have.

From a photography point of view, this look was a joy to capture. The layered fabrics, tonal contrast and sculptural florals translated beautifully on camera, especially in the soft, even light we had throughout the day. I photographed this setup (and the whole day) using a mix of digital and film photography.

This final setup completes the series from our Boathouse Row styled shoot. If you haven’t already, you can also view the earlier looks here:
