Bright Garden Wedding Inspiration at Boathouse Row, Auckland
The second look from our Boathouse Row styled shoot took a brighter, more playful direction. In contrast to the earthy first setup, this look leaned into colour and contrast while keeping the overall feel relaxed and editorial.
Planning and style direction was led by Lisa and her team at With Love Weddings and Events. Working with a team that understands both the vision and the location makes the process feel easy, with space to adapt and refine as the day unfolds.
A Colour-Forward Garden Tablescape
This setup was styled on the lawn at Boathouse Row, using the surrounding greenery as a backdrop. Crisp white chairs and soft draping created a clean base, while orange florals, citrus and green produce added energy and texture.
The table felt light and unfussy, with enough detail to feel considered without becoming overworked. It is a look that suits daytime weddings or long receptions where colour plays a central role.
We definitely had a bit of pushback on social media on the use of cabbages in our styling, but I think they’re a vibe! Do you agree?
Working with the Location
Boathouse Row is a venue that responds well to simple changes. With only a few styling shifts, the space can feel entirely different. For this look, keeping the structure minimal allowed the colour and setting to lead.
While we love some sunshine, the overcast conditions continued throughout the day, creating soft, even light that photographed beautifully. It suited this look well and kept the overall mood clean and consistent.
