Boathouse Row Wedding Styled Shoot

Earthy Wedding Inspiration at Boathouse Row, Auckland

This styled shoot at Boathouse Row was captured across three different looks, each exploring a distinct mood. This first look focused on an earthy, grounded wedding aesthetic set right on the water. The remaining two looks from the day will be shared soon.

The planning and style direction for this shoot was led by Lisa and her team at With Love Weddings and Events. They are some of my favourites and always such a dream to work with. Every detail felt considered, while still leaving room for the space and the team to respond to the day as it unfolded.

Although the weather wasn’t the typical bright, blue-sky Auckland day, it ended up suiting this look perfectly. The softer light and moodier skies added depth and texture, which worked beautifully with the earthy palette and layered styling.

An Earthy Tablescape by the Water

The tablescape centred around texture and tone rather than colour. Olive linen grounded the table, paired with warm timber furniture, soft draping and ceramic vessels. Florals were styled loosely and allowed to spill across the table and toward the water, giving the setup a relaxed, natural feel.

Because Boathouse Row already offers so much visually, the styling didn’t need to compete with the location. Instead, everything worked together to create a setting that felt calm, modern and inviting.

Bridal Styling

The bridal look followed the same approach. Clean lines were softened with a sheer veil and sculptural florals, keeping things timeless and unfussy.

As an Auckland wedding photographer, shoots like this are one of my favourite things to be part of. They’re a chance to collaborate with talented creatives, try new ideas and push things a little further than a typical wedding day allows. Even more than that, they remind me how good it feels to slow down, be creative and make something intentional together.

This earthy look was just the beginning. I can’t wait to share the other two looks from the day soon.
