- Search Airbnb and reach out to owners who may consider hosting your special day.
- Talk to your favourite cafe or restaurant to see if they will let you transform their space for a wedding.
- Look through the Auckland Council website for some incredible (and affordable) bookable community buildings, parks and heritage properties.
- Churches. Most of these listed above are reception venues, but if you want your ceremony in a church, there are some beautiful ones in Auckland, and sometimes an attached hall or space for receptions also.
- Consider the properties of your family and friends, and putting a marquee up to create your dream day.
- Ask your local theatre/cinema/studio if they’d consider letting you use their space.

- Search Backyard Weddings for exclusive properties and private home options.
- Look through Sharedspace to see unique spaces of all kinds.
- Search Airbnb and reach out to owners who may consider hosting your special day.
- Talk to your favourite cafe or restaurant to see if they will let you transform their space for a wedding.
- Look through the Auckland Council website for some incredible (and affordable) bookable community buildings, parks and heritage properties.
- Churches. Most of these listed above are reception venues, but if you want your ceremony in a church, there are some beautiful ones in Auckland, and sometimes an attached hall or space for receptions also.
- Consider the properties of your family and friends, and putting a marquee up to create your dream day.
- Ask your local theatre/cinema/studio if they’d consider letting you use their space.
