Happy May! I thought it would be great to share this little shoot as we’re going in to Autumn and maybe spending a bit more time tucked inside cozy cafes to shelter from the cold. It is definitely one of my favourites past-times and I love this cafe we shot at in particular. I love this kind of natural, lifestyle photography for couples and engagements, just capturing their day to day and who they really are. I think I need to plan a few more shoots like this so get in touch if you’re keen!

Indi and Graeme’s shoot was a real creative collaboration. If you live in Auckland, you know how much we value brunch. It’s one of our favourite ways to spend the weekend catching up with those we love over eggs benedict and hot coffee (it’s making me hungry just typing this!). We shot just after sunrise at the beautiful little French café, Petit Bocal. Indi and Graeme are a young, cool couple and I loved capturing their easygoing and adoring relationship in such a natural setting. These two are now married but it was great to capture them as an engaged couple documenting this small but exciting stage of their lives. Also that morning glowing light… delicious.

We love a good lazy brunch on a Saturday morning, whether it’s with friends or in this case someone you love it’s one of the best ways to start the weekend. I know this love of brunch also applies to these two, and what better way to capture them then in their natural habitat. Our local Petit Bocal proved the perfect spot, simple, minimal and great in the morning light it captured our couple perfectly, Indi and Graeme are fun loving, simple and carefree and a cozy breakfast spot couldn’t be more perfect!
