Now we’re well and truly into Autumn and it’s getting a bit chillier here in New Zealand I can’t help but reminisce about Summer. So I thought I’d share some adventures from my favourite season! It’s always a busy period for me with lots of weddings and editing to do. This Summer I was determined to squeeze in as many little trips and spontaneous adventures when I had free time.
It was so great to have my sister and her husband home from America for a little while and to meet my gorgeous niece, Ava. She’s the cutest thing ever and I’m hanging out to the next time I get to cuddle her. I spent the first two months of 2016 going back and forth, from Auckland, to my parents farm in Waerenga, Waikato. It was the perfect peaceful place to get my editing done as well as spend time with family and pop to the beach whenever I could!

Christmas Eve Blueberry Picking!
Christmas Holiday at Whangamata- Coromandel exploring. Cathedral Cove is definitely one of my favourite beaches in the world, if you haven’t been, you must! New Years (rainy) Holiday at Mount Maunganui with friends- Outside dinners and farm life- Miss Ava Grace! I helped my talented sister Kate with second-shooting and editing while she was here. Her last wedding was in Gisborne so we spend a beautiful sunny weekend down on the East Coast with my Mum and Ava too! Tolaga Bay- Back to Waerenga- Waihi weekend- BBQs + swims- Had some Mt Eden fun with my lovely friend Tash and practiced a bit of portrait-taking! Tawharanui Bliss! Piha Waterfall (freezing all year round but still beautiful!) A little day mission to the Blue Springs + Rotorua + Kerosene Creek. I adore the beautiful white sand beaches of the East coast, but going for an epic adventure on the West coast is always full of jaw-dropping views, amazing walks and made even better with the company of a bestie like Becky! North. Matakana + Tauwharanui daytrips are seriously a dream! An activity filled weekend at Whangamata Beach Hop with some galpals + a bunch of bogans in classic cars, so good-
Sometimes you just need to get outside, especially when it’s sunny! Going on adventures always makes me happier and refuels me. I’m more productive with my work and get to spend quality time with people I love. That is so important! I hope you had some epic expeditions during Summer, I’d love to hear about them! We’re blessed in New Zealand to have so many cool places to explore. I’m looking forward to some Autumn/Winter jaunts now, let me know if you want to come along! xx
