I’m excited to share Emily and Justin’s special day with you today. It was the first day of “summer” for this drizzly Auckland wedding. A little rain didn’t deter from this beautiful backyard celebration. Emily wanted to say “I do” at the place where she grew up and had many fond memories, surrounded by all her and Justin’s nearest and dearest. I love when couples do this, it’s so special to have your wedding somewhere meaningful to you and usually it’s totally unique, with no one else having had their wedding there!
A couple of highlights from the day: the beautiful tones (giving me all the Autumn vibes), saying their vows under a gorgeous tree in the backyard, the family style food, mini bonfires and ice cream treats. Many special family moments from Emily’s grandfather playing the piano in the morning, many a smooch with all the gorgeous kids, heartfelt speeches and plenty of snuggles! They danced the night away under the backyard marquee, a perfect celebration of love! Emily and Justin are such a warm, relaxed and welcoming couple. Nothing fazed them, and I know they had the best day ever, I was so privileged to be able to capture it. Emily was the third sibling from her family that I have photographed their wedding! I did her sister Johanna’s wedding and her brother Ben’s wedding also. As I have said before, it’s so lovely to have been a part of their capturing so many love stories in their family!
