Being a Bridesmaid

HamiltonWeddingPhotographer_020

I have been a bridesmaid before for my lovely sister, when I was sixteen, it was very exciting! I am lucky enough to have the honour again later this year, not once but two times! Two of my best friends in the world are marrying their special boys and I’m so blessed to be a part of their bridal parties! Not only am I beyond excited to stand by their sides but I can’t wait to play a different role than ‘photographer’ for those special days.

Don’t get me wrong I LOVE photographing weddings (I will probably be itching having the camera in my hands replaced with a bouquet) but being in this different role brings a new perspective to me as a wedding photographer and even more insight into how my couples feel leading up to their big day. Being much more involved in all the organization and details for these weddings is a joy and it’s great to be able to share some of the insider wedding industry knowledge that I have learned with my lovely friends.

If you are planning a wedding you will know their are so many big and little things to think about and it can be crazy overwhelming to wrap your head around. Remember to utilize your friends and family around you. All their knowledge and connections can be super helpful and they are usually so happy to help in any way they can. Your bridesmaids are there to support you, use them! It can be so much fun meeting up and planning all the details. They will be sure to have some sneaky surprises for you too! Enjoy it and all the events leading up to the big day, it will all go by so quickly!

I will let you know how the upcoming weddings go. I’m pretty sure they are going to be insanely beautiful as my friends are talented, creative queens! Lots of love for them xxx
