Today I’m super excited to share with you a lovely and very talented person in the NZ and international wedding industry, Kelsey Genna. Kelsey is a bridal designer and entrepreneur. I’ve been lucky enough to do a couple of shoots with her amazing dresses (see some images below). Her fresh, feminine and detailed aesthetic has me falling in love! What/Who inspires you creatively?

I love to travel, I feel very inspired when immersing myself in unfamiliar surroundings and allowing my eye to constantly be seeing new things. Nature, art and my friends are other sources that consistently influence my work. I have some amazing friends creating some incredible work, I feel very lucky to not only be surrounded by that but to have the chance to work collaboratively with likeminded people too.

Describe what a typical day looks like for you.

Every day is different. I guess the common thread would be that it always starts with coffee. I’m launching a new website right now called Well Travelled Bride so I’ve been working on location the past few months. Our website is going to showcase luxury destinations around the world to elope and marry in. Our frst stop was in Wanaka and our next will be international… so its kept me living out of a suitcase for sometime now.

Feminine, modern and creative.

Do you have any advice for brides-to-be?

Just enjoy yourself, don’t get too caught up in the all the details.
